تكمن أهمية الدراسة في أن للواو عدة معانٍ تظهر دلالاتها بحسب المعنى العام للجملة، وقد تناثرت في أبواب النحو المختلفة فرأيت أن أخصها بدراسة تجمع شتاتها من بين الأبواب المختلفة؛ وأرفد العربية بدراسة متخصصة بما يتعلق بالواو حتى يستفيد من دارسي اللغة العربية. كما أن الواو من حروف العطف التي أثرت في حكم الفقهاء بحسب حرف العطف المستخدم فيما يخص الطلاق. جمعت الدراسة بين المنهج الوصفي والتحليلي في مناقشة الآراء النحوية، ومقارنة الواو ببعض الحروف، والتاريخي فيما ذكره النحاة مع الاستشهاد بالقرآن والشعر الفصيح. إن الواو المفردة ذكر منها خمسة عشر، ثم أبطل منها سبعة هي: واو الصرف، واو رب، واو الثمانية، واو الإنكار، واو التذكر، الواو الداخلة على جملة النعت، والواو المبدلة من همزة الاستفهام. وأهم النتائج التي خلصت إليها الدراسة هي: * الواو العاطفة: معناها مطلق الجمع فتعطف الشيء على مصاحبة وهذا مذهب جمهور النحويين. * تميزت الواو في عطفها عن بقية الحروف التي تؤدي معنى العطف مثل: حتى. * واو الثمانية هناك من أقرها وهناك من نفاها. * أن معنى الواو يرتبط بسياقها الدلالي داخل الجملة وهذا ما ينطبق على الحرف في تعريفه لذا تعددت معانيها ودلالاتها. * كما أن للواو معنى في الجملة فكذلك لها دلالة صوتية مثل واو الإنكار التي هي إشباع للضمة. * وجود روابط قوية بين الدلالة النحوية للعبارات والاستنباط النحوي بالأحكام الفقهية.
The importance of the study lies in the fact that the letter "waw" has got different meanings. Its V meanings appear according to the context of the s of the sentence. It has been used in different chapters of syntax, so I conducted this study to gather it from the different chapters of grammar and present a specified study of Arabic Language so that researchers can benefit of it. Moreover the " waw" is the conjunction that affects the jurisprudence as regarding the conjunction that is used in case of divorce. The study combined the descriptive and analytic methods in discussing grammatical issues, and comparison of the letter " waw" with other letters, in addition to the historical method in what has been mentioned by the grammarians who quoted from the Quran and eloquent poetry. There are 15 single " waw”, has been canceled which are: morphological " waw" , " Rubawaw" , waw of eight, denial waw, remembrance waw, intrusive waw in adjective clause, substituted waw of questioning hamza. The most important results of the study are: • waw of connection which combines the items to its owner, this is the general rule for grammarians. • The waw has distinguished itself from the other letters of connections like " Hata". • The waw of eight which has been proved by others and denied by the rest. • The meaning of waw relates to its semantic meaning within the sentence, and this true for the definition of the letter when it has various meanings and indications. • The waw has meaning in the sentence, it has also a phonetic connotation such as denial waw which complete "Damma". • The existence of strong links between grammatical indications and grammatical extrapolation with jurisprudential judgments.
