|a الفرار من المعركة من أكبر أسباب الهزيمة، ولذلك حث الشارع ورغب في الثبات، ونهى عن الفرار، وجعله من كبائر الذنوب، ولم يرخص ويبح الفرار إلا في حالات محددة، وهي الانصراف بقصد الانتقال من جهة إلى أخرى، أو لطلب النجدة والإعانة من قوة خارجية، أو إذا كانت قوة العدو تزيد على ضعف قوة المسلمين، وقد توعد الله تعالى الفارين بالعقوبة الشديدة في الآخرة، أما العقوبة الدنيوية فلم يرد فيها حد ولا كفارة، وهي حق من حقوق الله تعالى، فتكون فيها العقوبة تعزيرية حسب رأي الإمام واجتهاده.
