Hence, it was necessary to study the relationship between academic achievement and self management skills, because of great importance in the life of the individual, family and society, especially in the basic educational stages, which largely determine the child’s educational level and his ability to obtain academic information. It has very important aspects in his life as it is the obligatory way to choose the type of study and profession later in many education systems in most Arab countries, and thus determine the social role that the individual will play and the social status that he will achieve, and his view of himself And his feeling of psychological satisfaction and self-confidence through achieving academic success, which leads him to achieve his ambitions and goals in life. The ability to academic achievement requires some of the self-skills that allow the individual the opportunity to succeed and to identify his skills, strengths and weaknesses, and the most important of these skills are self-management skills, because of their positive impact on the life of the individual in general and especially in his academic life, in terms of His ability to organize and manage his own skills, which help him to control his time, control his emotions, and effectively communicate with his environment and the surrounding community and enhance his sense of self-confidence and raise the level of his ambition, which increases his desire and ability to achieve, and thus reach success that makes him feel proud of himself and his capabilities and that he is capable Academic achievement, which confirms the importance of self management skills and their positive impact on academic achievement. The individual always needs to have a positive view of himself, and tends to invest what he has of his capabilities to employ them in the areas of his life, especially the study that requires him a lot of effort and perseverance., and how to benefit from it to succeed in his life, the need for self-realization is closely related to achievement and academic achievement, as a person feels more value of himself and his skills as much as he achieves. Academic achievement achieves the dream of family and social status and improves the individual's view of himself and increases his sense of self-confidence and self-esteem. High academic achievement can cause positive self-concept and appreciation of self-skills, ie the relationship is reciprocal.
