المستخلص: The end-of-studies project is an important curriculum component in the 5th year, Bachelor’s Degree (undergraduate) course at the College of Languages and Translation (COLT). The trainee translators are asked to choose one of two sub-modules: The translation of a book chapter or internship, commonly called “cooperative training”, in a professional environment. Each sub-module constitutes a “training situation”. Analysis of the effectiveness of a training situation requires a multidisciplinary approach borrowing from two distinct interacting fields that mainly include the field of translation studies and training. In this study, the effectiveness of the Project is analyzed in its two sub-modules to find out the adequate solutions to improve the training situation. This case study is based on a survey implemented through a questionnaire covering the two sub-modules of the end-of-studies project. It helps in measuring the extent to which the project meets the job market’s needs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
