المستخلص: The main aim of this work is to highlight the major role played by translation during the so-called golden centuries of Arab-Muslim civilization. This translation movement, unprecedented in its scope, allowed the emergence of scientific concepts and led to the construction and structuring of an Arabic scientific terminology that was not then the exclusive preserve of this language, such as that relating to philosophy, mathematics or medicine. We will shed light on the work of dusting off, translating and appropriating that was skillfully orchestrated by the transmitters of knowledge, working in particular under the aegis of the "House of Wisdom". Translators who succeeded in scientifying and upgrading the Arabic language by enriching it with the cultural and scientific heritage of Greece, Persia and India, and then passing the torch to scholars who left their mark on the history of science, spearheaded by Avicenna without question. The Sheikh El-Rais who bequeathed to humanity the Canon of Medicine, a masterpiece that has had a particular influence in the medical field for centuries and which will be the subject of our study, from a terminological point of view.

La visée principale de ce travail est de mettre en exergue le rôle majeur joué par la traduction durant les siècles dits d'or de la civilisation arabo-musulmane. Ce mouvement de traduction, inédit par son ampleur, permit le jaillissement de concepts scientifiques et ab woutit à l'édification et à la structuration d'une terminologie scientifique arabe qui n'était pas alors l'apanage de cette langue, telle que celle relative à la philosophie, les mathématiques ou encore la médecine. On s'attèlera à mettre la lumière sur le travail de dépoussiérage, de traduction et d'appropriation savamment orchestré par des passeurs de savoir, œuvrant notamment sous l'égide de la "Maison de la Sagesse". Des traducteurs qui réussirent à scientifiser et à revaloriser la langue arabe en l'enrichissant des héritages culturels et scientifiques grec, perse et indien, puis en transmettant le flambeau à des érudits qui marquèrent de leurs empreintes, l'histoire de la Science et dont le fer de lance est sans conteste Avicenne. Le Cheikh El-Raïs qui légua à l'humanité le Canon de la Médecine, une œuvre magistrale qui aura exercé une influence particulière dans le domaine médical, durant des siècles et qui fera l'objet de notre étude, d'un point de vue terminologique.
