المستخلص: افترضت هذه الدراسة وجود تأثيرات منهجية قد فرضت نفسها على الأكاديمي بحكم طبيعة عمله في المؤسسة الجامعية، تلك التأثيرات التي تكسبه النزاهة والأمانة والبحث عن الكمال والدقة في التناول والوضوح اللغوي المعبر عن الأفكار وتقدير جهود السابقين والامتنان لهم والبناء على منجزهم وشجاعة الاعتراف بالخطأ أو التقصير وغيرها من السمات العلمية والإنسانية المهمة في الأكاديمي. وقد سعت الدراسة إلى تأمل فعل الترجمة عند أربعة أساتذة بقسم اللغة العربية بآداب القاهرة للبحث عن تحقق تلك السمات من عدمه عندما يصبح الأكاديمي مترجما. وهي مجرد نواة لمشروع بحثي مستقبلي يسعى لتناول كل أساتذة القسم، بل وكل أقسام الكلية ليتأمل آليات ترجمة الأكاديمي في أقسام اللغات مقارنة بأقسام العلوم الإنسانية. وبعد عرض الإطار النظري والمنهجي للدراسة، انتقلت إلى الجانب التطبيقي عبر أربعة كتب أساسية لأصحاب العينة المختارة، وقد تبين وجود مقدمات وافية تكشف عن قيمة العمل المترجم وسبب اختياره وكيفية التعامل مع متنه وكيفية الرد على مؤلفه بما يؤكد أن الأكاديمي يترجم بشكل وثيق الصلة بتخصصه ومشروعه العلمي والعملي من جهة، وبالقيم العلمية المكتسبة من وجوده بالمؤسسة الجامعية من جهة أخرى. وقد اختتمت الدراسة بأهم النتائج التي كشف عنها الجانب التطبيقي وببعض التوصيات ومنها ضرورة أن ترعى الجامعات شباب المترجمين من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بها وضرورة تدريبهم وإلزامهم بممارسة الترجمة لأنهم بما يكتسبونه من سمات علمية خاصة بحكم انتمائهم لها يعتبرون دون مبالغة ثروة قومية لا تقبل التسعير.

This study was based on a hypothesis that there have been cognitive influences that were imposed on the academic because of working in a university institution/foundation. These influences give the academic integrity, honesty, the seek for perfection and accuracy in handling issues, and lingual cleanliness that makes ideas very clear. Therefore, the influences help the academic to evaluate the efforts of previous professors, being grateful to them, to continue from where they stopped and continue their achievements. They, also, helped the academic to have the courage to confess committing mistakes or having incomplete sides in his work, in addition to other scientific and human characteristics that are essential for the academic. This study aimed contemplation at the process/act of translations of four Arabic Department Professors at Arabic Language and Literature Dep, to find out whether the above-mentioned characteristics existed or not during the act of translation. the study is merely a base for a future research project that would include not only, the Arabic Department Professors, but professors of the whole departments of the university, as well. The reason for this future research is to compare the methods of the academic as a translator at language Departments to those of other human studies professors. After presenting the theoretical framework of the study, it moved to its practical stage through a chosen sample of four basic books. It emerged to me that there are complete introductions that show/reflect the value of the translated text, why it was chosen. how to deal with the text and, finally, how to address its author in a way that proves the academic translates closely related to his profession, and to his scientific and practical project on one hand, and to his acquired scientific values that he got from being in/part of a university institution on the other hand. The study ended with the most important results that evolved from the practical side, and, also, with some recommendations. One of those recommendations is the importance of universities sponsorship of youth translators among their staff. Universities need to train them well and get them to translate well too. Due to this, the youth/ uprising university staff translators would become a national treasure that cannot be purchased. That is a result of special scientific characteristics they acquired from being a part of/ belonging to/those university institutions.
