Meta-discourse is used to refer to the interacting of writers with their readers and persuading them through interactive, textual and interactional levels. This study is intended to critically study of Interactional Meta-discourse Markers of identity of Iraqi post-graduate linguistics theses. The researcher in this study has depended on Hyland (2005) method or model in which meta-discourse is sorted in to interactional markers. The selected data consists of 10 Iraqi post-graduate linguistics theses. More accurately, 10 samples have been analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of this study show that there are 65 meta-discourse markers in Abstracts of Iraqi Post-Graduate Linguistics Theses. Those consist of (10.76%) Hedges, (7.69%) Boosters, (12.30%) Attitude markers, (4.61%) Engagement markers, (1.53%) Self-mentions, there are 79 meta-discourse markers in introductions of Iraqi Post-Graduate Linguistics Theses. Those consist of (2.53%) Hedges, (3.79%) Boosters, (6.32%) Attitude markers, (8.86%) Engagement markers, (8.86%) Self-mentions, and there are 65 meta-discourse markers in conclusions of Iraqi Post-Graduate Linguistics Theses. Those consist of (4.39%) Hedges, (2.19 %) Boosters, (5.49%) Attitude markers, (5.49%) Engagement markers, (7.69%) Self-mentions.
