تلعب مؤلفات ثنائي البيانو دورا هاما في تنميه القدرات العقلية والنفسية للمتعلم وإكسابه الثقة بالنفس وتولد لديه العلاقات الإنسانية القائمة على الألفة والتعاون والولاء للعمل الجماعي. وتعرف مؤلفه ثنائي البيانو الواحد بمؤلفه الأربع أيدي (four hands) وقد أطلق المؤلفون عليها مصطلح Duet piano. ولا تقتصر مؤلفات الأربع الأيدي على إكسابها العازف مهارات فنية فقط ولكنها أيضا تعمل على إكساب المؤدين روح المشاركة والتعاون من خلال الأداء المشترك بين العازفين ،كما تعمل على كسر حاجز الخوف والخجل من الأداء أمام الآخرين، وتنمي وتشجع العازف على أداء نشاط فني متميز على جانب الأداء المنفرد ومن أهم ما تتسم به مؤلفات الأربع أيدي أنها وسيلة ناجحة في تدريس البيانو، وذلك سواء بمصاحبة المعلم للطالب أو مصاحبة الطالب لأخر، فالعازف أثناء عزف الثنائي يقوم بعملين أثناء الأداء فهو عازف ومستمع لزميله العازف الأخر في وقت واحد. ينقسم البحث إلى: أولا: الجانب النظري: ويشتمل على المبحث الأول: احتوى على نبذة عن ثنائي البيانو وأهم مؤلفي ثنائي البيانو. المبحث الثاني: تناول حياة المؤلف فيردناند بييرF.Beyer وأسلوبه وأهم أعماله. ثانيا: الجانب التطبيقي: تناولت فيه الباحثة (عينة البحث) بالتحليل البنائي والعزفي وعرض للتقنيات الأداء وتحديد الإرشادات اللازمة لتذليل ما بها من صعوبات. واختتم البحث بالنتائج التي حققت الإجابة عن أسئلة البحث ثم التوصيات المقترحة ومراجع البحث المستخدمة ثم ملخص البحث باللغة العربية والإنجليزية.
