المستخلص: Zakât is synonymous with the legal almsgiving of Muslims. Verse 60 of Surah Tawbah sets 8 categories of recipients for whose benefit Zakat can be paid. In this case, it is the poor, needy, people responsible for collecting Zakat, people including sympathizers with Islam, slaves, insolvents, travelers in distress, and the path of Allah. The present research “The endowment fund: a legal regime compatible with Zakât” aims to propose a combination between the foundations of Muslim law and those of civil law. It is to encourage the creation of a Zakat Fund that this study was written. The aim is to participate in the eradication of poverty through the mechanism of the endowment fund.
