It has not been long since the English language has been taught as a main subject in Libyan public schools for young learners. During these years, inspectors realized that learners were getting bored quickly due to the traditional ways and methods that teachers used to teach. Therefore, this research aimed to prove that using games to teach vocabulary is extremely effective and can make it easier for young learners to learn and memorize the new words that they want to learn. The current research presents a literature review of using games as a tool to teach English vocabulary to young learners. After that, it looks at how much using games in teaching vocabulary is supportive and important. Following that, it looks at the practical ramifications of utilizing games to teach vocabulary to young learners, including how to implement vocabulary games and several examples of games. Finally, it looks at the difficulties teachers have while teaching vocabulary to young learners using games.
