المستخلص: استهدف البحث إلقاء الضوء على الوعي السياسي والاتجاهات المفسرة له، واتبع البحث المنهج الوصفي من خلال تحليل الأدبيات المرتبطة بالوعي السياسي، واتضح أن هناك تباينا بين علماء الاجتماع وعلماء السياسة في تحديدهم لمفهوم الوعي السياسي، ويمكن تعريفه أنه مدى إدراك الأفراد للقضايا والأحداث السياسية المهمة التي ترتبط بمجتمعاتهم المحلية والقومية ثم مدى معرفتهم وفهمهم للأمور التي تتصل بالمجال السياسي، ودورهم في المشاركة في الحياة السياسية والممارسات الحزبية والنيابية القائمة. وتبين وجود عدد من الأشكال الدالة على مضمون ومحتوى الوعي، ومن هذه الأشكال: الوعي السياسي السلبي والوعي السياسي المتأزم والوعي السياسي المزدوج ووالوعي السياسي الإيجابي وتتضمن مكونات الوعي السياسي القيادات السياسية والمؤسسات السياسية والقضايا السياسية. ومن مكونات الوعي السياسي الهوية والمواطنة والمشاركة السياسية والتعددية السياسية وتداول السلطة. وتبين أن أهم مصادر الوعي السياسي تشمل الأسرة والمدرسة والمؤسسات الدينية وجماعة الرفاق ووسائل الإعلام والاتصال. وتنبع أهمية الوعي السياسي من أهمية وخطورة السياسة والقرارات السياسية على حياة الشعوب والمجتمعات. والوعي السياسي عنصر أساسي في بناء النظام السياسي الديمقراطي؛ حيث يعد الوعي السياسي المرحلة الأولى من مراحل المشاركة السياسية التي تتيح من الاهتمام السياسي إلى المعرفة السياسية ثم التصويت السياسي، وأخيرا المطالب السياسية. ويترتب على غياب الوعي السياسي الكثير من الإشكالات التي تضر بحياة المجتمع أهمها الفهم المغلوط للنظام السياسي الذي خلط بين السياسة والأخلاق، وإذا غاب الوعي السياسي غابت معه حقوق الإنسان.

This study is concerned with shedding light on political awareness and the trends explaining it. The study adopted the descriptive approach through analyzing the literature related to political awareness, and it was found that there is a discrepancy between sociologists and political scientists in providing a definition for the concept of political awareness. It can be defined as the extent of individuals' awareness of the important political issues and events associated to their local and national societies, then the extent of their knowledge and understanding of matters relevant to the political field, and their role in participating in political life and the existing partisan and parliamentary practices. There are some forms that imply and indicate the content of awareness including: the negative political awareness, crisis political awareness, dual political awareness, and positive political awareness. The components of political awareness comprise: political leaders, political institutions, and political issues. The elements of political awareness include: identity, citizenship, political participation, political pluralism, and the transfer of power. It was found that the most important sources of political awareness involve: the family, school, religious institutions, comrades' group, in addition to media and communication. The importance of political awareness originates from the significance and danger of politics and political decisions on the lives of peoples and societies. Political awareness is a vital element in building a democratic political system as political awareness is the first stage of the political participation that converts from political interest to political knowledge, then political voting, and finally political demands. The absence of political awareness results in many problems that harm the life of society; the most important of which is the misunderstanding of the political system that mixes politics with morals and the absence of political awareness leads to the loss of human rights.
