المستخلص: JMG Le Clézio has been writing since the age of seven, his dream was to write an adventure book. As an adult, he sought to identify with everything that exists in the world, the real one, not the one governed by the Western thought system. Very quickly, writing becomes an escape route from this system, then a space for self-creation with the addition of elsewhere, which will be the main catalyst. Quest for oneself, meeting with others or in the footsteps of the ancestors, the self is identifiable in different postures, all marking the evolution of the work. From one place to another, the nomadic writer seems far from wanting to put luggage. The transpersonal character characterizing his latest novels reveals a new representation and conception of literature, capable of reflecting a new vision of the world and an exaltation of the human. This contribution intends to demonstrate how elsewhere has become the engine of Clezian writing, a writing which is intended to express humanist and universal thinking.

JMG Le Clézio écrit depuis l’âge de sept ans, son rêve était d’écrire un livre d’aventures. Adulte, il a cherché à s’identifier à tout ce qui existe dans le monde, le vrai, non celui régit par le système de pensée, occidental. Très vite, l’écriture devient une voie de fuite de ce système, puis un espace d’autocréation avec l’adjonction de l’ailleurs qui en sera le principal catalyseur. Quête de soi, rencontre de l’autre ou sur les traces des aïeuls, le moi est repérable dans des postures différentes marquant toutes l’évolution de l’oeuvre. D’un ailleurs à l’autre, l’écrivain nomade semble loin de vouloir poser bagages. Le caractère transpersonnel caractérisant ses derniers romans révèle une représentation et une conception nouvelle de la littérature, capable de rendre compte d’une nouvelle vision du monde et une exaltation de l’humain. Cette contribution entend démonter comment l’ailleurs est devenu le moteur de l’écriture le clézienne, une écriture qui se veut l’expression d’une pensée humaniste et universelle.
