Recently, the world has experienced continual and fast technical, informational and technological improvements and it has a chance of getting acquainted with other cultures, which necessitates of those “leading the educational institutions to coexist with all global changes, to keep pace with those changes, developments and challenges, and in light of global trends and education development policies that have taken various forms, including education E-learning, distance education and other development methods”. This study aims at investigating the challenges of applying distance education (Elearning) in Iraq according to teachers’ overview. In the present paper, the researcher used descriptive- survey approach to investigate the challenges face distance education (E-learning) during and after the Covid-19 crisis by using a questionnaire, which has prepared by the researcher in order to show these challenges and difficulties, this questionnaire was given to a number of teachers in different schools in Al Diwaniyah city, who were 50 teachers.
