| 520 | |b The aim of this study is to examine English language lecturers' perceptions regarding the impact of teaching English drama on enhancing students language skills. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Languages, English Language Department, at El-Mergib University, Libya. A total of Five lecturers volunteered to participate in the study. This study seeks to determine whether lecturers believe that teaching English drama can help improve students' overall English language proficiency and, more specifically, enhance their various language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The research follows a qualitative approach, utilizing qualitative semi-structured interviews with the lecturers. In general, the lecturers held positive perceptions about the impact of teaching English drama on student's English language development. The findings indicated drama as a priceless course covering all aspects of language such as: grammar, reading, speaking and writing. Additionally, the findings indicated that teaching English drama facilitates a connection with a broader culture and affords insights into various aspects of that cultural milieu. In brief, this study underlines the tangible influence of teaching drama on students, greatly contributing to their overall skill development. | ||
