|a يعتبر الأطفال ذوو الإعاقة الذهنية من بين الفئات الأكثر عرضة للمشكلات والاضطرابات السلوكية التي تعتبر نتاج عدم تكيفهم مع متطلبات المجتمع المحيط بهم والتي من شأنها أن تؤثر في عملية اكتساب الطفل المعاق ذهنيا للمهارات التعليمية اللازمة وتكيفه مع البيئة الأسرية والمجتمعية ويأتي اضطراب الانتباه كواحد من بين الاضطرابات التي يعاني منها الأطفال ذوو الإعاقة الذهنية درجة بسيطة ما يجعل منه مجال خصب للبحث في حلول لمثل هذه المشكلات وذلك بهدف التخفيف من حدتها اعتمادا على طرائق وأساليب متعددة والتي من بينها القصة الحركية والتي هي ترجمة حوادث القصة إلى حركات متعددة وتمثل وحدة قصصية متكاملة من التمرينات والحركات الغير الشكلية والبسيطة، وهي نوعين التمثيلية والموسيقية.
