|a هدف البحث الحالي التعرف على أثر استخدام نظم المعلومات الجغرافية في تدريس مقرر مبادئ الخرائط على تنمية مهارات قراءة الخريطة والتفكير المكاني لدى طلاب شعبة الجغرافيا بكلية التربية ولتحقيق هدف البحث تم إعداد قائمة بمهارات قراءة الخريطة، ومهارات التفكير المكاني ودليل إرشادي للقائم بالتدريس وكتيب الطالب لتنمية مهارات قراءة الخريطة، ومهارات التفكير المكاني، وأيضا إعداد اختيار مهارات قراءة الخريطة، ومهارات التفكير المكاني، وتم استخدام المنهج التجريبي القائم على طريقة القياس القبلي والبعدي في كل من المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة، واستخدمت الباحثة طريقة المجموعتين المتكافئتين مجموعة تجريبية عددها (20) طالب من طلاب الفرقة الثانية بقسم الجغرافيا درست مقرر مبادئ الخرائط مصاغة وفق نظم المعلومات الجغرافية، ومجموعة ضابطة عددها (20) طالب من طلاب الفرقة الثانية بقسم الجغرافيا درست المقرر نفسه بالطريقة المعتادة، وقد أسفرت النتائج أن استخدام نظم المعلومات الجغرافية ساهم بدرجة كبيرة في تنمية مهارات قراءة الخريطة، والتفكير المكاني لدى طلاب شعبة الجغرافيا بكلية التربية، كما توصلت النتائج إلى وجود فرق دال إحصائيا عند مستوي (0.05) بين متوسطي درجات طلاب مجموعة البحث التجريبية التي تدرس مقرر مبادئ الخرائط باستخدام نظم المعلومات الجغرافية وطلاب المجموعة الضابطة التي تدرس المقرر نفسه بالطريقة المعتادة في التطبيق البعدي لاختبار مهارات قراءة الخريطة، ومهارات التفكير المكاني.
|b The current research objective is to investigate the impact of using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in teaching the Principles of Maps course on developing map reading skills and spatial thinking among students in the Geography Department at the College of Education. To achieve this research objective, a list of map reading skills and spatial thinking skills was prepared, along with an instructional guide for the teacher and a student handbook to develop map reading skills and spatial thinking. Additionally, a test was prepared to assess map reading skills and spatial thinking. The experimental approach based on pre-test and post-test measurement was used in both the experimental and control groups. The researcher employed the equivalent groups method, with an experimental group consisting of 20 second-year students in the Geography Department who studied the Principles of Maps course using GIS, and a control group consisting of 20 second-year students in the Geography Department who studied the same course using the conventional method. The results showed that the use of GIS significantly contributed to the development of map reading skills and spatial thinking among students in the Geography Department at the College of Education. The results also indicated a statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level between the average grades of the experimental research group, which studied the Principles of Maps course using GIS, and the control group, which studied the same course using the conventional method, in the post-test application of map reading skills and spatial thinking.
