المستخلص: تواجه كافة المؤسسات العديد من التحديات، من أبرزها التغيرات البيئية السريعة، وصعوبة التكهن بها، وشدة خطورتها، والتي تتطلب ضرورة مواجهتها من خلال استشراف مستقبل تلك التهديدات والاستعداد لها. ويسهم استشراف المستقبل البيئي في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في صناعة مستقبل بيئي مستدام للأجيال القادمة، وتحقيق مستهدفات الدولة، وتعزيز تنافسيتها العالمية، ومواكبة الرؤى المستقبلية لقيادتها الرشيدة. وقد تمثلت مشكلة الدراسة في إبراز دور استشراف المستقبل في مواجهة تحديات الاستدامة البيئية بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، كما سعت الدراسة للتعرف على دور استشراف المستقبل في زيادة القدرة على مواجهة التهديدات البيئية بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. وقد تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي في إعداد الدراسة؛ حيث تم تحديد المفاهيم النظرية الأساسية المرتبطة بموضوع البحث، وذلك بالاستعانة بالمراجع، والدوريات، والمصادر العلمية التي تعالج موضوع الدراسة. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج والتوصيات، من أهمها: أن استشراف المستقبل يسهم في صناعة مستقبل بيئي مستدام للأجيال القادمة، وتحقيق مستهدفات الدولة، وتعزيز تنافسيتها العالمية، ومواكبة الرؤى المستقبلية لقيادتها الرشيدة. وأن من غير الواضح بعد كيف سيكون مستقبل الاستدامة البيئية، وأننا ما زلنا بحاجة إلى معرفة المزيد. كما يوصي البحث بضرورة صياغة رؤية مستقبلية ذات توجه ريادي تعتمد على استشراف المستقبل البيئي والتنبؤ بتهديداته بالاعتماد أساسا على التحليل الاستراتيجي لاستكشاف الفرص المستقبلية والتهديدات البيئية المتوقعة. وأن حماية البيئة هي الدعامة الأساسية للاستدامة وللعديد من الشواغل الرئيسية لمستقبل البشرية، أي أن الاستدامة تحدد كيفية دراسة وحماية النظم البيئية، وكيفية دفع التكنولوجيا لبناء مستقبل بيئي أكثر استدامة.

All institutions face many challenges, most notably rapid environmental changes, the difficulty of predicting them, and the severity of their seriousness, which require the need to confront them by foreseeing and preparing for the future of these threats. Foreseeing the environmental future in the UAE contributes to creating a sustainable environmental future for future generations, achieving the country's goals, enhancing its global competitiveness, and keeping pace with the future visions of its wise leadership. The problem of the study was to highlight the role of future foresight in facing the challenges of environmental sustainability in the United Arab Emirates, and the study also sought to identify the role of future foresight in increasing the ability to face environmental threats in the United Arab Emirates. The descriptive approach was used in the preparation of the study, where the basic theoretical concepts related to the subject of the research were identified, with the help of references, periodicals, And scientific sources that deal with the subject of study. The study reached a number of results and recommendations, the most important of which are: that foreseeing the future contributes to creating a sustainable environmental future for future generations, achieving the country's goals, enhancing its global competitiveness, and keeping pace with the future visions of its wise leadership. It is not yet clear what the future of environmental sustainability will look like, and that we still need to know more. The research also recommends the need to formulate a future vision with a pioneering orientation based on foreseeing the environmental future and predicting its threats based mainly on strategic analysis to explore future opportunities and expected environmental threats. Environmental protection is the mainstay of sustainability and many of the key concerns of humanity's future, i.e. sustainability determines how ecosystems are studied and protected, and how technology is driven to build a more sustainable environmental future.
