The country of Andalusia witnessed in the middle of the sixth century A.H a major transformation and transition, as the star of the Almoravid state declined and the sun of the Almowahidin state dawned, and although the two states were based on a religious principle, which is the command of virtue and the prevention of vice, but - nevertheless - the Almowahidin state was more firmly established, longer in time, and stronger influence in Andalusia. There is no doubt that there are poets who were eyewitnesses to the Almoravid and Almowahidin eras in Andalusia, and perhaps they said poetry, including our poet Ibn al-Mankhil al-Shalabi, and indeed that he did not reach him anything in praise of the Almoravids, but he - without a doubt - was a participant in cultural life, as well as political life, as he was - like other Chalabis - hater of the Almoravid state, vengeful them, a participant in the revolution against it, whether in word or deed, he was a minister in the government of Ibn al-Mundhir supporter of the revolution of Ibn Qassi rebel on the authority of Stationed. |
