المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تنمية الوعي البيئي المستدام بأبعاده الثلاثة (المعرفي، السلوكي، الوجداني) لدى تلميذات المرحلة المتوسطة من خلال تقديم وحدة تعليمية مقترحة في العلوم قائمة على مبادئ الكيمياء الخضراء وقياس فاعليتها في تنمية النواتج التعليمية المذكورة؛ ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تم بناء اختبار الوعي البيئي المستدام (ببعديه المعرفي والسلوكي)، ومقياس الوعي البيئي المستدام لقياس الوعي البيئي ببعده الوجداني. واتبعت الدراسة المنهج التجريبي ذو تصميم المجموعة الواحدة، حيث تكونت عينة البحث من (٣٦) تلميذة بالصف الثالث المتوسط في إحدى المدارس الحكومية بمدينة الرياض. وتم تطبيق أداتي الدراسة قبليا على العينة، ثم تدريس الوحدة التعليمية المقترحة ثم تم التطبيق البعدي لأداتي الدراسة. وأظهرت النتائج وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا في التطبيقين القبلي والبعدي لاختبار الوعي البيئي المستدام ومقياس الوعي البيئي المستدام لصالح التطبيق البعدي. مما يظهر فاعلية الوحدة التعليمية المقترحة في العلوم في تنمية الوعي البيئي المستدام بأبعاده الثلاثة لدى تلميذات المرحلة المتوسطة. وتوصي الدراسة بضرورة تضمين موضوعات الكيمياء الخضراء في مقررات العلوم بجميع المراحل التعليمية لأهميتها في تنمية الوعي البيئي المستدام وتحسين جودة الحياة.

The current study aimed to develop sustainable environmental awareness in its three dimensions (cognitive, behavioral, and emotional) among middle school students by presenting a proposed educational unit in science based on the principles of green chemistry and measuring its effectiveness in developing the aforementioned educational outcomes. To achieve this goal, the Sustainable Environmental Awareness Test (with its cognitive and behavioral dimensions) and the Sustainable Environmental Awareness Scale were built to measure environmental awareness in its emotional dimension. The study followed the experimental approach with a single group design, where the research sample consisted of (36) female students in the third intermediate grade in a government school in the city of Riyadh. The two study tools were pre-applied to the sample, then the proposed educational unit was taught, and then the two study tools were applied post-test. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the pre- and post-applications of the sustainable environmental awareness test and the sustainable environmental awareness scale in favor of the post-application. Which shows the effectiveness of the proposed educational unit in science in developing sustainable environmental awareness in its three dimensions among middle school students. The study recommends the necessity of including green chemistry topics in science curricula at all educational levels due to their importance in developing sustainable environmental awareness and improving the quality of life.
