|a باعتباره جزءا من فن الطبخ المتوسطي، يعتمد المطبخ التطواني لتحضير الأطباق، على المكونات (الخضار والبقوليات وزيت الزيتون والفواكه وما إلى ذلك) التي هي في الغالب منتجات مجالية، بحيث يتم دمجها بطريقة بارعة. ويقترن هذا التنوع الملحوظ من حيث المكونات بالتنوع البيولوجي، وكذلك بالثراء والمهارات الثقافية التي يتميز بها العنصر البشري في مدينة تطوان. كل ذلك منح الطبخ التطواني إشعاعا وتمييزا وطنيا ودوليا. إذا كان هذا الطبخ معروفا بتنوع التقنيات والوسائل المستخدمة، فإنه يشتهر أيضا بجودته التي تجسد براعة وقدرة المكون البشري التطواني على ابتكار أطباقا مستجدة، ولا أدل على ذلك أنه قد شكّل أصل العديد من الأطباق المغربية الأصيلة بحيث تحتل الصحة فيها أهمية قصوى.

Known for its diversity in techniques and methods, Tetouani cuisine is also renowned for its quality, which embodies the ingenuity and ability of the Tetouani people to innovate new dishes. In fact, Tetouani cuisine is the origin of many authentic Moroccan dishes where health is of utmost importance.
