Cet article examine les thèmes de la laïcisation et de l'intolérance religieuse dans l'éducation française du début du XXe siècle à travers une analyse détaillée du roman de Michel Peyramaure, L'Orange de Noël. En situant le roman dans son contexte historique et culturel, l'étude explore comment la laïcisation des écoles congréganistes catholiques reflète les tensions sociétales plus larges entre l'Église et l'État. L'article examine la représentation d'un environnement éducatif en proie aux conflits, en mettant en lumière les expériences des enfants dyslexiques dans ce paysage tourmenté.
