|a تسعى هذه الدراسة الوصفية التحليلية إلى استعراض واقع مسميات علم المكتبات والمعلومات بالجامعات الحكومية المصرية من خلال الاطلاع على واقع مسميات الأقسام الأكاديمية التي تدرس هذا العلم في 19 جامعة، كما ترمي الدراسة للتغيرات التي حدثت في السنوات الأخيرة بمسميات تلك الأقسام، وتقوم أيضا باستجلاء آراء رؤساء تلك الأقسام، فيما يتعلق باتجاهاتهم المستقبلية وتوجهاتهم نحو تطوير علم المكتبات والمعلومات مع الحفاظ على هويته، كما تستجلي آراء رؤساء الأقسام حول تأثير تلك التغيرات على اللوائح الدراسية والمقررات، وأعداد الطلاب بتلك الأقسام، والاستعدادات التي تمت لإنجاح ذلك، وتوصلت الدراسة بأن نسبة 47% من الأقسام قامت بتغيير مسمياتها، رغم أن 84.2% من تلك الأقسام تميل إلى تغيير مسمياتها، وكشفت الدراسة أن السبب الرئيسي وراء عملية تغيير المسميات هو: إنه يساهم في إعداد خريجين قادرين على العمل في مجالات أوسع تتعدى حدود المكتبات، وليس السعي للاعتماد الأكاديمي أو الوجاهة الاجتماعية، واعتمدت الدراسة على الاستبيان الإلكتروني كأداة من أدوات جمع البيانات مع المقابلة الشخصية باستخدام الهاتف، وقد أوصت الدراسة بأن التغيير قد يكون مطلوبا ليس فقط بالتسمية، وإنما يجب أن يكون شاملا، فيجب النظر بإنشاء كليات مستقلة لهذا العلم بدلا من معاناة أقسام المكتبات والمعلومات مع الهوية، والتسكين في الكليات الأدبية والنظرية، مما سوف يساعد العلم في التمدد والتشعب، كما هو الحال بمدارس المكتبات والمعلومات الأجنبية.
|b This descriptive and analytical study seeks to display the actual names of library and information science(LIS) in The Egyptian public universities by reviewing The names of the academic departments that teach this science in 19 universities, and the study also aims at the changes that have occurred in the names of those departments recently, It also seeks the opinions of the heads of these departments, regarding their future directions and orientations towards the development of library and information science with preserving its identity. . It also explores the opinions of department heads about the impact of these changes on the Academic Regulations and courses, the number of students in those departments, and the preparations that have been made for the success of this, and the study found that 47% of the departments have changed their names. Although 84.2% of these departments tend to change their names, the study revealed that the main reason behind the process of changing names is that it contributes to preparing graduates who are able to work in broader fields beyond the boundaries of libraries, rather than seeking academic accreditation or social prestige. The study relied on the electronic questionnaire as a tool for collecting data with the personal interview using the phone, and the study recommended that the change may be required not only by name, but must be comprehensive. It should be considered to establish independent faculties for this science instead of the library and information departments suffering with identity and placing them in literary and theoretical faculties, which helps science in expansion and bifurcation, as is the case in foreign library and information schools.
