المستخلص: The study dealt with the scope of the educational service in the city of Al- Shatrah, which is an important criterion for measuring the efficiency of the educational service, and it represents the distance from the residence to the educational institution or vice versa. It is located in the north of Dhi Qar Governorate, in southern Iraq, which is located between latitude (15 23' 31 °- 15" 27' 31 °) north, and between longitudes (45" 08' 46 °- 30" 11' 46 °) to the east, and thus it occupies a spatial area of (24187 km2) ). The field study and field survey of educational services included the spatial distribution of primary educational institutions in the city of Al-Shatrah as well as the residential neighborhoods, the number of school buildings in the city of Al- Shatrah and the type of work hours. Arc map GIS 10.0 software has been used for the purpose of mapping, measuring areas, mapping and defining residential neighborhoods, as well as being used in the spatial distribution of primary schools and the educational service area for the arrival distance exhibition.
