المستخلص: يختلف دور وسائل الإعلام في عمليات السلام باختلاف الوقت والظروف، فهي قد تقوم بدور بنّاء من خلال توفير الشرعية للقادة المشاركين في العملية، والتأكيد على الفوائد التي تأتي من السلام، وإضفاء الطابع الإنساني على العدو. وقد تقوم بدور هدام من خلال القيام بالعكس. وفي ضوء ذلك، تسعى الدراسة للتعرف على الدور التي قامت به الصحف العربية في اتفاقية التطبيع الإماراتي والبحريني مع إسرائيل، ومدى مساهمة معالجتها للقضية في تعزيز السلام، والكشف عن العوامل المؤثرة على هذا الدور، عبر تحليل خطاب الصحف العربية الممثلة لدول (الإمارات – المغرب – فلسطين – مصر - قطر) بما يسمح بطرح تمثيل شامل للدول المؤيدة والمعارضة، خلال الفترة من 13 أغسطس 2020م توقيت إعلان اتفاق السلام الإماراتي الإسرائيلي، مروراً بالإعلان عن انضمام البحرين، وحتى 30 سبتمبر 2020م، بعد مرور أسبوعين على مراسم التوقيع الرسمي على الاتفاقيات في البيت الأبيض، وذلك في ضوء إطار نظري يجمع بين مدخلي التحليل الثقافي وتحليل النظم مع نظرية البناء. واتضح من التحليل وجود تفاوت في أدوار الصحافة العربية في عملية السلام محل الدراسة، حيث قامت الصحف المؤيدة للاتفاق بدور بنّاء، وقدمت معالجة إيجابية داعمة للسلام مع إسرائيل، وذلك عبر التركيز على فوائد السلام، ورفع شرعية المؤيدين، مقابل نزع شرعية المعارضة، وبث التفاؤل والأمل بشأن حل الصراع الفلسطيني الإسرائيلي، وتقوية رغبة الجمهور في السلام والتغلب على الاختلافات، والمساعدة في تغيير صورة إسرائيل. بينما قامت الصحف المعارضة بدور هدام لعملية السلام، وقدمت معالجة سلبية للاتفاقيات مع إسرائيل، وذلك عبر التأكيد على المخاطر والنتائج السلبية المرتبطة بها، ورفع شرعية المعارضة، مقابل نزع الشرعية عن المؤيدين، ونشر التشاؤم بشأن فرص السلام وتعزيز الاختلافات القائمة، وتعزيز الصور السلبية للعدو الإسرائيلي.

The role of the media in peace operations varies depending on time and circumstances. It may play a constructive role by providing legitimacy to leaders participating in the process, emphasizing the benefits that come from peace, and humanizing the enemy. It may play a destructive role by doing the opposite. In light of this, the study seeks to identify the role played by Arab newspapers in the Emirati and Bahraini normalization agreement with Israel, and the extent to which their handling of the issue contributed to strengthening peace, and to reveal the factors influencing this role, through analyzing the discourse of Arab newspapers representing the countries (Emirates - Morocco - Palestine - Egypt - Qatar) to allow comprehensive representation of the supporting and opposing countries, during the period from August 13, 2020, the timing of the announcement of the Emirati-Israeli peace agreement, through the announcement of Bahrain’s accession, and until September 30, 2020, two weeks after the official signing ceremony of the agreements at The White House, in light of a theoretical framework that combines the two approaches of cultural analysis and systems analysis with Building theory The results revealed that there was a disparity in the roles of the Arab press in the peace process under study, as the newspapers supporting the agreement played a constructive role and provided a positive treatment in support of peace with Israel, by focusing on the benefits of peace, and raising the legitimacy of supporters, in exchange for delegitimizing the opposition, and spreading optimism. Hope for resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, strengthening the public's desire for peace and overcoming differences, and helping to change the image of Israel. While the opposition newspapers played a destructive role in the peace process, and provided a negative treatment of the agreements with Israel, by emphasizing the risks and negative consequences associated with them, raising the legitimacy of the opposition, in exchange for delegitimizing the supporters, spreading pessimism about the chances of peace, strengthening existing differences, and enhancing negative images of the Israeli enemy..
