المستخلص: |
To explore how affective variables may relate to listening proficiency, seventeen effective third-year students from the English department at Badji-Mokhtar University-Annaba were asked to respond to seven questions assessing their affective tendencies. The responses were then subjected to qualitative analysis to identify related attributes. Most students exhibited positive affective traits relevant to enhanced listening skills, including low anxiety levels, a willingness to make mistakes, seeking feedback, and an inclination toward introversion. The findings supported the study’s hypotheses that positive affect contributes to successful listening, and those affective traits may predict better listening skills. |
