|b Stylistics reveals a unique vision of the world through the author's use of the possibilities offered by language in literary texts. Since the end of the 20th century, it has reconnected with rhetoric (ethos, pathos, logos) and pragmatics to align with poststructuralist theories. Epideictic discourse aims at praise or blame through amplification and elevated style. This article demonstrates that the interaction of stylistics and pragmatics effectively deciphers the discursive phenomena through which Sony Labou Tansi celebrates the action of the poet.
|d La stylistique révèle la vision singulière du monde à travers l’usage que l’auteur fait des possibilités que lui offre la langue dans les textes littéraires. Depuis la fin du XXème siècle, elle renoue avec la rhétorique (ethos, pathos, logos) et la pragmatique pour se mettre au diapason des théories poststructuralistes. Le discours épidictique vise l’éloge ou le blâme, par l’amplification et le style élevé. Cet article montre que l’interaction de la stylistique et de la pragmatique décrypte efficacement les phénomènes discursifs par lesquels Sony Labou Tansi célèbre l’action du poète.
