المستخلص: The present research aimed at enhancing university students' analytical writing. skills. This was achieved through applying a Collaborative Research-Based instructional approach. The research adopted a two group pre/post test design. The participants were 100 students divided into groups; the experimental (N=50) and the control (N=50). The following instruments were designed and used: An Analytical Writing Skills Checklist (AWSC) ; An Analytical Writing Skills Pre/Post Test (AWST) ; Results of the study indicated that there was statistically significant difference at 0.05 level between the mean score of the experimental group on the pre and post administrations of the AWST in favour of the post ones. In addition, the experimental group participants outperformed their counterparts in the control group in the targeted skills. Consequently, the proposed Collaborative Research-Based Instructional approach proved to have a high positive effect on enhancing analytical writing skills for university students.
