|a هدف البحث إلى تحديد متطلبات دراسة التوجهات الدولية للرياضيات والعلوم (TIMSS, 2023) وتعرف مدى تضمين محتوى كتاب العلوم للصف الثامن الأساسي في سلطنة عمان لمتطلبات (TIMSS, 2023) لبعد المحتوى فقط. استخدم البحث أسلوب تحليل المحتوى للإجابة عن أسئلة البحث، وقد اشتمل مجتمع الدراسة على كتاب العلوم للصف الثامن الأساسي بالإضافة إلى كتاب النشاط للعام الدراسي 2023 – 2024. تم تحديد قائمة المتطلبات وتنظيمها في أداة الدراسة، وبعد التأكد من صدقها وثباتها تم إجراء التحليل وجمع البيانات وتحليلها إحصائياً باستخدام التكرارات والنسب المئوية. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فجوات بين محتوى الكتاب والمعايير الدولية، خاصة في مادة علوم الأرض. بناءً على النتائج، أوصت الدراسة بتبني معايير دولية في تطوير المناهج، وتعزيز تدريب الطلاب لتلبية متطلبات التقييمات العالمية. كما اقترحت إجراء دراسات مستقبلية لتحليل أعمق للأبعاد الأساسية للمناهج، مع التركيز على الاستفادة من الخبرات الوطنية والدولية لتحسين المخرجات التعليمية في سلطنة عمان.
|b The research aimed to identify the requirements for studying the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS 2023) and to determine the extent to which the content of the eighth-grade science textbook in the Sultanate of Oman aligns with the TIMSS 2023 requirements, focusing solely on the content dimension. The research utilized content analysis to answer the research questions, and the study population included the eighth-grade science textbook as well as the activity book for the 2023-2024 academic year. A list of requirements was identified and organized into a study tool, and after ensuring its validity and reliability, analysis was conducted, and data were collected and statistically analyzed using frequencies and percentages. The study results showed gaps between the textbook content and international standards, particularly in Earth Science. Based on the findings, the study recommended adopting international standards in curriculum development and enhancing student training to meet the requirements of global assessments. It also suggested conducting future studies for a deeper analysis of the core dimensions of curricula, focusing on leveraging national and international experiences to improve educational outcomes in the Sultanate of Oman.
