This study aimed at revealing beliefs of students in the college of basic education in Kuwait about creativity and wheatear these beliefs differ according to gender and specialization . This study used a tool designed by diakidou and kanori , which involved choosing from mutely-choice and questions of open end responses which concentrated on evaluating of students ’ beliefs about creativity from several issues are: 1 -definition of creativity 2- Relationship between creativity and intelligence 3- the role of prior knowledge and experience in creativity. 4- the role of teacher in promoting creativity in his students 5- characteristics and aspects of creativity in students. 6- creativity and history. 7- Relationship between creative thinking and thinking in solving life problems. 8- relationship between creative thinking and solving school problems. The research sample composed from 262 students from basic education college, Kuwait state . The study conducted the following results: 1- half of responds see that creativity incarnated in transforming the familiar thing into a new invented thing different from others 2- there is no difference significant statistically in beliefs of students about existing relationship between creativity and intelligence due to variables as gender and specialization. 3- there is an important role for prior knowledge and experience in developing creativity from point of view of mal and female , artistic and scientific specialization. 4- teacher has an important role in developing creativity in students through using several methods . the most important of them are : caring and promoting creative and securing methods based thinking . 5- there is a middle relationship between creativity and history. 6- the most important aspects of creativity in students are : methods of their responds to questions , their artistic works and literature , participating in interlocution and strong intelligence 7- there are statistically significant differences in students' beliefs about establishing relationship between thinking and creativity , thinking in solving life problems and thinking in solving school problems due to variables as gender and scientific discipline . 8-the study conducted to several recommendations in the light of study results.
