هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد متطلبات وآليات التمويل الذاتي للتعليم الجامعي الحكومي في مصر، واستخدمت المنهج الوصفي، وتناولت أبرز المتغيرات العالمية والمحلية وتأثيرها على تمويل التعليم الجامعي الحكومي بمصر، كما تناولت أسباب ضعف كفاية تمويله حاليًا، وقد أوضحت الدراسة مفهوم التمويل الذاتي ونشأته، وأسفرت عن عدة نتائج من أهمها: أن التعليم الجامعي الحكومي في مصر يواجه عددًا من التحديات وفي الوقت نفسه الأموال التي تنفق عليه غير كافية؛ مما نتج عنه العديد من المشكلات التي تستلزم إيجاد مصادر تمويل جديدة. ويعد التمويل الذاتي من أفضل المصادر لدعم تمويل التعليم الجامعي الحكومي في الوقت الحالي، حيث يُمكن الجامعات من الحصول على موارد إضافية لها من خلال استثمار وتوظيف مواردها الذاتية أفضل استثمار ممكن، مما يسهم بدوره في تطوير وتحسين وضعها الحالي. ومن هنا جاءت الدراسة لتحديد متطلبات البحث عن مصادر جديدة لتمويل التعليم الجامعي الحكومي بمصر، وآليات استثمار وتوظيف كافة موارد هذه الجامعات للحصول على التمويل الذاتي
the study aimed to specify the requests and the mechanisms of self funding of the governmental higher education in Egypt, It used the transcriptional method and dealt with the most obvious international and local changes, and their effects on financing the governmental higher education in Egypt. It also dealt with the reasons for its weak financing, the study also cleared the concept of self funding and its out come, it reached many important results which are :the governmental higher education in Egypt faces a lot of challenges, at the same time the money which spent isn't enough which caused a lot of problems that demand to find more financing resources. Self funding is one of the resources which support financing the governmental higher education in Egypt at the same time, so the universities can have their extra resources through investing their own sources, which contribute in developing and improving its state, so the study come to specify demand of searching for new resources of financing the governmental higher education in Egypt and the mechanism to employ and invest all the universities resources in order to have self funding.
