يتناول البحث إمارة بني قرمان وهي إحدى الإمارات الحدودية التي قامت في جنوب آسيا الصغرى وشمال بلاد الشام خلال العصر المملوكي ٠ وذلك بوصفها إنموذجاً تعرفنا من خلاله على طبيعة الدور السياسي الذي قامت به الإمارات الحدودية في تلك المنطقة حيث كان لموقع بلاد بني قرمان أهمية خاصة فهو يتوسط بين مناطق نفوذ عدد من القوى السياسية المتنافسة آنذاك وهي دولة المماليك في مصر والشام، ودولة المغول في العراق وآسيا الصغرى، ودولة سلاجقة الروم، ومملكة أرمينية الصغرى، وأخيراً الدولة العثمانية ٠ من أجل ذلك صارت تلك الإمارة محط أنظار هذه القوى. وألقى هذا البحث الضوء على أصل بني قرمان، وبداية ظهورهم، و قيام إمارتهم، وركز البحث على الدور السياسي الذي قاموا به منذ قيام دولتهم سنة 654هـ / 1256م حتى سقوطها سنة ٨٨٨هـ-/١٤٨٣م ٠ حيث تحدثنا عن دورهم في الصراع بين المماليك وكل من دولتي السلاجقة والمغول بأسيا الصغرى، وأوضحنا دورهم في آسيا الصغرى بعد سقوط الدولة السلجوقية، وتطرق البحث كذلك إلى علاقة بتي قرمان بالعثمانيين قبيل حملة تيمورلنك وبعدها، وكذلك دور بني قرمان في الصراع الذي جرى بين المماليك والعثمانيين داخل آسيا الصغرى .
This research is about Bani Krman Emirate which is one of the emirates border that was founded and established in the south of Asia Minor and the north of Alsham countries during the Mamluk period . That is because it is as a model which enables us to identify the nature of the political role that emirates border played in that region .The site of Bani Krman Emirate had a special importanc . It was mediating the spheres of influence of a number of political forces competing at that time . Those were the Mamluk State in Egypt and Alsham , The State of The Mongols in Iraq and Asia Minor , the State of the Seljuk Turks Roman , the kingdom of lesser Armenia , and finally the Ottoman Empire . For that reason Bani Krman Emirate became the focus of attention of these Forces. This research threw light on the origin of Bani Krman Emirate , the beginning of its emergence , and the foundation of their emirate . This research focused on the political role that they played since the establishment of their state ( 654 Hijri / 1256 AD) until its fall (888 Hijri / 1483 AD) where we talked about their role in the conflict between the Mamluks and both of the Seljuk and the Mongols in Asia Minor and we clarify their role in Asia Minor after the fall of the state of Seljuk . This research touched the relationship between Bani Krman and the Ottomans before and after the campain of Tamerlane as well as the role of Bani Krman in the conflict between the Mamluks and the Ottomans in Asia Minor .
