المستخلص: تعد دراسة الأولويات القيمية من الدراسات التي ترتبط بالمناهج السلوكية، إذ إن القائم بالاتصال يسعى للبحث عن صيغ توافقية أثناء معالجة الموضوعات الإعلامية التي ترتبط خلفياتها بأحداث عنف من خلال وضع مقياس احترافي لتحديد درجة الأهمية لتلك الأولويات الافتراضية قبل شروعه بتنفيذ الفكرة الإعلامية، وتتلخص تلك الأولويات بطبيعة المؤسسة الإعلامية وتأثيراتها الأيدلوجية في معالجة موضوعات العنف، وكذلك الأولويات الشخصية والاقتصادية التي غالبا ما تحرك ميول القائم بالاتصال وتنشط دافعيته لانجاز الموضوعات الإعلامية المختلفة، فضلا عن الأولويات المجتمعية التي كثيرا ما تتحكم بنوعية وحجم الموضوعات التي يتناولها القائم بالاتصال. ويسعى البحث إلى تحقيق الأهداف العلمية الآتية: 1. التعرف على الأولويات القيمية التي تتحكم في الأداء الإعلامي للقائم بالاتصال أثناء تغطية أحداث العنف. 2. تحديد الأولويات التي يضعها القائم بالاتصال في اعتباراته أثناء تغطية أحداث العنف. 3. تشخيص تأثير عامل (الخوف) على معالجة القائم بالاتصال للموضوعات الإعلامية التي ترتبط خلفياتها بأحداث عنف. ومن خلال الاستبصارات العلمية يمكن أن نستنتج: 1. تحكم الأولويات المؤسساتية والمجتمعية بسلوكيات القائم بالاتصال إزاء موضوعات العنف المختلفة. 2. إن الأولويات التي يضعها القائم بالاتصال أثناء تغطية أحداث العنف تمثلت بالطموح والأمانة وسعة الأفق، وذلك يعود إلى الرؤية الاحترافية التي يتمتع بها القائم بالاتصال لتجنب التصادم مع قيم المجتمع. 3. إن تأثير عامل الخوف على المعالجة الإعلامية تمثل ب (الانتقاء الجزئي للأحداث) و (محاولة إيجاد "التوافقية" في طرح الأفكار)،
