ن الجامعات أو مؤسسات التعليم العالي في العالم أجمع تشكل أهم مرجعية لأي مجتمع كان. بمعنى أن معظم القضايا والظواهر والصعوبات التي يعاني منها ذلك المجتمع، وأهدافه التحولية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية التي يطمح إلى تحقيقها في المستقبل ويسعى في البحث عن الوسائل التي توصله إليها، وتدفعه إلى أن يلجأ إلى الجامعات ليجد في إطار تلك الجامعة من يقدم أولاً: الإستشارة أو النصح لحل تلك المشكلات والمعضلات وفق المنهج العلمي السليم. ثانيًا: ولتحقيق أهداف ذلك المجتمع المتمثلة في الإيفاء بمتطلبات سوق العمل وطموحاته المستقبلية التي تقتضيها المتغيرات الدولية والعالمية. لابد من إعداد مخرجات تعليمية مؤهلة بدرجة عالية من الكفاءة قادرة على الاستيعاب والتكيف مع توجهات التغيير والتجديد. هذه المواصفات لن تتحقق إلا إذا تحققت الجودة في العملية التعليمية بشكل عام. وجودة الخدمة التدريسية في الجامعات بشكل خاص. والتي بدورها تحقق الريادية للجامعة وتمنحها المكانة المرموقة لها في المجتمع، وذلك من خلال العمل على تطوير أداء الأستاذ الجامعي لتحقيق جودة الخدمة التدريسية الجامعية، وزيادة مخزون الجامعة من المعارف – والمهارت، والخبرات – والقدرات التي تؤدي بالفعل إلى تحقيق وظيفتها الأساسية. وهي المساهمة الفاعلة في العملية التنموية الشاملة للوصول إلى تحقيق الأهداف المجتمعية. وتحقيقًا لما سبق وإسهامًا بهذا البحث للخروج ببعض النتائج والتوصيات فقد احتوى على: المبحث الأول: منهجية البحث والدراسات السابقة، المبحث الثاني: مقدمة عن الجامعات اليمنية ونشأتها، والمبحث الثالث: تضمن الأبعاد المعرفية للخدمة بشكل عام وخدمة التدريس الجامعي بشكل خاص، والمبحث الرابع: احتوى على أبعاد جودة الخدمة التدريسية على ضوء جودة الخدمات، والمبحث الخامس: عرض وتحليل النتائج والمبحث السادس: التوصيات وقائمة المراجع. \
Universities or higher education corporations in the whole world represent the most important authority for any community. It means that most of the issues, phenomena, and difficulties which the community suffers from, and its economical, social, and cultural transitional aims that the community wishes to achieve in the future and tries to search for the means to reach them, and motives them to resort to the universities to find in their spheres someone who provides; first, the consultation or advice to solve those problems and obstacles according to a proper scientific approach. Second, to attain the aims of that community in fulfilling the business market needs and its future ambitions forced by the global and international variables, there should be preparation of resources with high level of education and competence which arc able to apprehend and accommodate with the directions of changing and renewal. These features could not be accomplished unless the quality of the educational process, in general, has been attained, and the quality of teaching duty in the universities, in particular. This, in turn, will grant the university the superiority and the remarkable position in the community. This can be done by developing the performance of the university teacher to attain the quality of the teaching duty in the university, and increasing the university storage of knowledge, skills, experts, and abilities which in real, lead to achieving its basic function. This is the effective participation in the genera! developmental operation to reach attaining the community aims. In general, to achieve what mentioned above, and to participate through this research paper to come up with some results and recommendations, this paper is composed of the following fields: the first field is the methodology of the research and the previous studies. The second field is an introduction to the Yemeni universities and their history. The third field includes the knowledge views about the duty in general, and the teaching duty in the universities in particular. The fourth field includes the views of the quality of the teaching duty in the light of duties quality. The fifth field presents and analyses the results. The sixth field is there commendations and list of references. \
