يتناول البحث قصة يوسف القرآنية، التي تختلف عن القصص الفنية، فالقصـة الفنيـة تعتمد على الخيال أو المزج بين الحقيقة والخيال، والقصة القرآنية تسـتمد مادتهـا مـن الواقـع والحقائق التاريخية. وبين البحث أن شخصية يوسف المفردة وشخصية إخوته الجماعية همـا الشخصـيتان الرئيستان. وجاءت معظم شخصيات قصة يوسف متطورة. واعتمدت على البعد المادي في رسم الشخصية، حيث كانت صفة جمال يوسف عليه السلام محركا فاعلا في دفع أحداث القصة نحـو التأزم، بالإضافة إلى البعد الاجتماعي في طبيعة العلاقة بين يوسف عليه السلام وإخوته من أبيه، كما برز البعد النفسي بشكل قوي في رسم شخصية إخوة يوسف، فالحسد والغيرة همـا الـدافع الرئيس لتفجير أحداث القصة. واعتمدت أحداث القصة على بداية درامية متأججة، تقحم المتلقي مباشرة ف ـي الح ـدث الدال على المستقبل القريب والبعيد. واعتمدت على انتقاء الأحداث، وتقسيطها. وبدأ الصراع في قصة يوسف من اللحظة الأولى، واستمر الصراع الخارجي وتداعياته بين يوسف وإخوتـه مـن أبيه، حتى اللحظات الأخيرة، وكان المتلقي يعرف ما مكنه الله ليوسف، لكن إخوته لا يعلمون. وتميزت لغة قصة يوسف بغلبة الحوار على السرد، وامتلكت تكثيف القصـة القصـيرة، ودقـة السيرة، وسردية الرواية، وحوارية المسرح، ودرامية السينما بكل ما فيها من سلاسة الانتقال من موقف إلى آخر ومن مشهد إلى غيره.
The research handles the story of Yosuf from the Holy Qur'an, which differs from the artistic stories, the artistic story depends on fiction or mixing fiction with reality and the story in the Holy Qur'an is based on historical events. The unique character of Yosuf and the character of whole his brothers were the two main characters. Most of the characters in the story were developed. It depended on the physical side in developing the character, where the beauty of Yosuf, peace be upon him, was an effective factor in complicating the events of the story, this is in addition to the social factor in the nature of the relation with yosuf and his brothers, from his father. The psychological factor also appeared strongly in drawing the character of Yosuf. Envy and jealousy were the main factor for exploding the events of the story. The events of the story depended on an effective inflamed initial study, attracts the reader directly in the event which shows the near as well as the far future. It also depended on choosing the events and showing it gradually. Struggle started in the story of Yosuf from the first moment, and the external study and its results between Yosuf and his brothers from his father continued to the end. The receiver realized what was Yosuf awarded, but his brothers didn't. Dialogue dominated the language of the story of Yosuf rather than narration. It owned highlighting the short story, the accuracy of biography, the narration of the novel, the dialogue of the theatre and the drama of the cinema with all what they contain from the simplicity shifting from one situation to another and from one scene to the other.
