تعد المكتبة الرقمية احد مراكز مصادر التعلم الحديثة والمهمة، فهي المكان الطبيعي الذي يرتاده المتعلم لتلبية حاجاته من المعلومات بأوعيتها المختلفة، وتأتي هذه الدراسة لتعرف مدى استخدام طلبة جامعة الكويت للمكتبة الرقمية. وقد استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي، وهو المنهج المناسب لتحقيق أهداف هذه الدراسة. تكونت عينة الدراسة من(180) من طلبة جامعة الكويت:(90) من الكليات العلمية و(90) من الكليات الأدبية. وقد قام الباحث بإعداد مقياس لقياس مدى استخدام طلبة جامعة الكويت للمكتبة الرقمية، وتوصل إلى النتائج التالية: 1- نتائج طلبة جامعة الكويت من القسمين العلمي والأدبي إيجابية نحو المكتبة الرقمية ويشعرون بأهميتها وقيمتها. 2- هناك معوقات تحول دون استخدام طلبة جامعة الكويت للمكتبة الرقمية، أبرزها أن المكتبة الرقمية تعوق عملية الاتصال بين القارئ والكتاب المطبوع. وفي ضوء النتائج المستخلصة قدم الباحث مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات، من أبرزها: - ضرورة تزويد الطلبة بالمهارات والإجراءات والخطوات اللازمة للتعامل مع المكتبة الرقمية لتمكنه من استخدامها. - إجراء المزيد من الدراسات العلمية والمسحية على طلبة جامعة الكويت لقياس مدى الاستفادة من المكتبة الرقمية.
Digital libraries feature among the most important tools for accessing learning resources. More often than not, they are the first place learners go to in order to derive all types of the needed information. The present study attempts to identify the attitudes of students at Kuwait University towards using digital libraries. A descriptive approach has been adopted for this study, being the most convenient for this type of research. The study sample comprised (180) students from Kuwait University. The selected subjects were divided equally between faculties of Arts and of Sciences. A special instrument for the measurement of the study objective was prepared in order to scale test the attitudes of Kuwait University students towards the usage of digital libraries. After examining the study samples, the researcher came to the following conclusions: - Students at Kuwait University have positive attitudes towards digital libraries and highly appreciate them. - Obstacles hindering the students at Kuwait University to use digital libraries do exist, among which is that digital libraries prevent students from having full contact with conventional printed books. Recommendations: - The study revealed the necessity of providing students with the required skills needed to attain full benefit of digital libraries. - Further scientific studies and surveys are deemed necessary in order to enhance the abilities of students at Kuwait University to benefit from digital libraries.
