The problem of the current study may be best shown if we consider the lack of profinciey in the performance of skills of teaching tennis among the student-teaching student in Faculty of Education Al Azhar University . This problem may be stated in the following main question : What are the efficacy of using micro-teaching technique in developing some skills of teaching tennis and the attitudes towards it among students of physical education department ? The following questions descend from this main question : 1- What are the skills of teaching tennis from the professionals points of views ? 2- What are the efficacy of using micro-teaching technique in developing some skills of teaching tennis among students of physical education department ? 3- What are the efficacy of using micro-teaching technique in developing the attitudes towards tennis among students of physical education department ? Research Hypotheses : The researcher has tested the following hypotheses : (1) There are statistically significant differences at (0.05) level among the means of the experimental group in the per and post test of the skills of teaching tennis observation card . (2) There are statistically significant differences at (0.05) level among the means of the experimental group in the per and post test of the attitudes towards tennis among students . Limitations of the study : The present research is limited to the following : (1) The current research is limited by the sample of the study , which consisted of (30) student of physical education department , that are randomly chosen . (2) The practical skills is limited by the following skills : A- Serve Strokes . B- Ground Forehand Strokes . C- Ground Backhand Strokes . Research Instruments : The current study administered following instruments : (1) Observation card of the performance of students in the skills of teaching tennis . (2) Scale of attitudes towards tennis . Research Procedure : The following steps have been applied : (1) Reviewing the pervious literature as a must for developing the theoretical frame and building the skills card . (2) Building the skills card of teaching tennis and validating this card through obtaining the views of some experiencers . (3) Building the instruments of the study ( Observation card-Scale of attitudes) (4) The application of the instruments on a pilot study ( n=20 ) (5) Building the study programme lessons according to the steps of micro-teaching technique and validating these lessons through obtaining the views of some experiencers . (6) Choosing the sample of the study from the student-teachers students in physical education department in the academic years 2005-2006. (7) The pre test of the instruments . (8) The application of the lessons of the programme . (9) The post test of the instruments . (10) Recording the data and using statistical analysis . (11) Analyzing the data . (12) Presenting some recommendations and proposals . Research Results : The results of the current study may be shown as follows : (1) The improvement of the performance in the post-test of the observation card . there were statistically significant differences between the scores of the post – and pre test in the favor of the post test . (2) The development of the attitude towards tennis among students. There were statistically significant differences between the scores of the pre – post test in the favor of the post test . |
