|a There has been more interest in using latest technological advancements and IT applications in the educational process. As long as Instruction Technology Dept. is among the departments of the faculties of education, its programs should include the basic requirements to enable the technological specialist to do his work in a good way after graduation. He should be prepared educationally and academically to work in different educational institutions. He should be able to design learning and use the technological advancements in an accurate way. Among the peparation programs there should be a program about the International Network (internet) and its educational applications in order to cope with his new roles in the age of scientific and technological development. So, the recent research is concerned with preparing a proposed program about the educational applications of the internet for students of the Instruction Technology Dept., making use of the hypermedia in presenting the contents of the program and realizing its effect on improving the skills of dealing with the educational applications of the internet, as well as the creative thinking among the students of the Instruction Technology Dept.. Research Problem: The problem of the research is highlighted in the absence of a program for the educational applications of the internet among the programs of preparing the instruction technology specialist, and also in the inability of the Instruction Technology Dept. students to use such applications. Consequently, it is a must to propose a program for Instruction Technology Dept. students about these applications. The problem of the research is also reflected in the attempt to know the effect of presenting the proposed program through the hypermedia according to a couple of navigation types (semi-linear & list), and to what extent these two types are suitable for the students’ mental capacity (high or low), as well as their relationship to achievement, skills and crteative thinking related to the internet educational applications. Thus, the research aims at answering the following questions:
|a 1- What is the effect of the proposed program depending on hypermedia, regardless of the navigation type and the mental capacity level, on developing: a- the cognitive achievement related to the skills of using the internet educational applications? b- the rate of the practical performance of using the internet educational applications? c- the creative thinking related to the internet educational applications? 2- What is the effect of using the two navigation types (semi-linear & list) of the proposed program depending on hypermedia, regardless of the mental capacity level, on developing: a- the cognitive achievement related to the skills of using the internet educational applications? b- the rate of the practical performance of using the internet educational applications? c- the creative thinking related to the internet educational applications? 3- What is the effect of the variation in mental capacity level (high or low), regardless of the two navigation types used, on developing: a- the cognitive achievement related to the skills of using the internet educational applications? b- the rate of the practical performance of using the internet educational applications? c- the creative thinking related to the internet educational applications? 4- What is the effect of the interaction between the two navigation types (semi-linear & list) used in the proposed program depending on the hypermedia and the mental capacity level (high or low) on: a- the cognitive achievement related to the skills of using the internet educational applications? b- the rate of the practical performance of using the internet educational applications? c- The creative thinking related to the internet educational applications? Research Scope: 1- The experiment of the research is applied on a random sample of the Third Year students, Instruction Technology Dept., Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University in Tafahna Al-Ashraf (where the researcher works) in accordance to the possibility of applying the experiment in the computer lab of the Faculty. 2- The researcher is concerned with two levels of mental capacity (high – low) as a classifying independent variable in the research. Research Hypotheses: 1- There is a significant difference at the level of 0.01 between the means of the scores of the sample students studying the proposed program depending on the hypermedia, regardless of the type of navigation and mental capacity level, in the pre and the post measurement of the test of the cognitive achievement related to the skills of using the internet educational applications in favour of the post-measurement. 2- There is a significant difference at the level of 0.01 between the means of the scores of the sample students studying the proposed program depending on the hypermedia, regardless of the type of navigation and mental capacity level, in the pre and the post measurement of the observation card of the practical performance of using the internet educational applications in favour of the post-measurement. 3- There is a significant difference at the level of 0.01 between the means of the scores of the sample students studying the proposed program depending on the hypermedia, regardless of the type of navigation and mental capacity level, in the pre and the post measurement of the test of the creative thinking related to the skills of using the internet educational applications in favour of the post-measurement.
|a 4- There is a significant difference at the level of 0.01 between the means of the scores of the students studying the program through the semi-linear type of navigation and those studying it through the list type of navigation in the post-measurement of the test of the cognitive achievement related to the skills of using the internet educational applications due to the basic effect of the type of navigation used, regardless of the mental capacity level. 5- There is a significant difference at the level of 0.01 between the means of the scores of the students studying the program through the semi-linear type of navigation and those studying it through the list type of navigation in the post-measurement of the observation card of the practical performance of using the internet educational applications due to the basic effect of the type of navigation used, regardless of the mental capacity level. 6- There is a significant difference at the level of 0.01 between the means of the scores of the students studying the program through the semi-linear type of navigation and those studying it through the list type of navigation in the post-measurement of the test of the creative thinking related to the skills of using the internet educational applications due to the basic effect of the type of navigation used, regardless of the mental capacity level. 7- There is a significant difference at the level of 0.01 between the means of the scores of the high mental capacity students and the low mental capacity students in the post-measurement of the test of the cognitive achievement related to the skills of using the internet educational applications in favour of the high mental capacity students, regardless of the type of navigation. 8- There is a significant difference at the level of 0.01 between the means of the scores of the high mental capacity students and the low mental capacity students in the post-measurement of the observation card of the practical performance of using the internet educational applications in favour of the high mental capacity students, regardless of the type of navigation. 9- ¬There is a significant difference at the level of 0.01 between the means of the scores of the high mental capacity students and the low mental capacity students in the post-measurement of the test of the creative thinking related to the skills of using the internet educational applications in favour of the high mental capacity students, regardless of the type of navigation.
|a 10- There are no significant differences at the level of 0.01 between the means of the sample scores in the post-measurement of the test of the cognitive achievement related to the skills of using the internet educational applications due to the interaction between the type of navigation (semi-linear & list) used in the program and the level of mental capacity (high or low). 11- There are no significant differences at the level of 0.01 between the means of the sample scores in the post-measurement of the observation card of the practical performance of using the internet educational applications due to the interaction between the type of navigation (semi-linear & list) used in the program and the level of mental capacity (high or low). 12- There are no significant differences at the level of 0.01 between the means of the sample scores in the post-measurement of the test of the creative thinking related to the skills of using the internet educational applications due to the interaction between the type of navigation (semi-linear & list) used in the program and the level of mental capacity (high or low). Research Objectives: The present research aims at: 1- Setting the objectives of a proposed program about the internet educational applications for the Instruction Technology Dept. students. 2- Developing the skills of using the internet educational applications among the students of the Third Year, Instruction Technology Dept. through building a proposed program depending on the hypermedia in the light of the set objectives and measuring its effectiveness. 3- Recognizing the best navigation type (semi-linear & list) in the program through its interaction with the levels of mental capacity (high or low).
