المستخلص: The prophet Mohammed (pray and peace upon him) said: “ Read Al-Quran due to Arab tunes and sounds and beware the tunes and sounds of people of vices and sins.” This study is on the parsing aspects in the Quranic readings of the people of Al-Basra and the impacts of such readings on the meaning of Al-Quranic text. It exposes the Basrawis heritage and the tremendous efforts they have exerted at the disposal of Al-Quran which may reflect the great fidelity laid on their shoulders in this regard. The Quranic readings attributed to Basrawis are multifarious . Thus , we limit the study for the readings pertinent to cases of Al-raf?, Al-nasb and Al-jar so as to obviate the multiplicity of the types in such readings . Our aim in this study is to access the meanings of Al-Quranic readings in Basrawis’ aspects .Also , we intend to find out whether their readings are based on legal proof sustained by previous readings to the extent that the reader has relied on what justifies his reading . The justification of the reading should be compatible to the conformity between the grammatical meaning and the main pillars of the religion and its sects. The variation in Al-Quranic readings is one of Allah’s miracles which is embedded in his Holy Book . The conformity in the various aspects , the absence of the apposition in the meanings , the compatibility with the religious commands and the transmission from one aspect in the reading into another our all beneficiary in interpreting what Allah says via the words of Al-Quran itself. Added to that, the variation is highly significant in increasing the meaning to enrich the Quranic text within the limits of the general text meaning . This can be fulfilled because the variation in the aspects of reading is of variety and appropriateness . Such variation is acceptable and highly recommended . It differs from that of apposition and unappropriateness . Theorists and experts in such a field have done their best to eliminate the ambiguities in the readings . Not only they aim at changing the wrong into right , but they attempt to clarify the meanings intended by Allah which, in fact, are completely clear but humans differ in their recognition and comprehension. Thus their work is based on disambiguation. Parsing is one of the important means used by the linguists to direct Al-Quranic meanings. Parsing signs have many functions . They denote meanings text. They insert clarification to the ambiguous articulation and speed in comprehension and recognition .

In this study , we intend to make the impact of the parsing aspects in the Basrawi readers of Al-Quran prominent in the meanings of Al-Quranic text. The approach followed in this study is as follows: clarifying the aspects of the verse , the aspect of the reading , who follows the reading from Basrawi reading , accessing of the meaning in both of the readings so as to know the new meaning. The study comprises of the a prelude , four chapters and conclusion . In the prelude , we expose the definitions pertinent to Al-Quranic readings , the types of readings , the sound stipulation of the reading and a synopsis of the most prominent Basrawi readers . In chapter one , we tackle the theoretical background concerning the variations in the readings and the significance of parsing to demonstrate their meanings. Chapter two , three and four are concerned in studying the Basrawi and Al-Quranic readings due to the reading of Al-Raf’a , Al-Nasb and al-jar. Finally , in the conclusion , we attempt to state what conclusions we arrive at in this study.
