تهدف هذه الورقة إلى دراسة واقع تقنية المعلومات المستخدمة في التعليم مثل "الإنترنت، وخدمات البريد الإلكتروني، وأنظمة التعليم الالكتروني والمؤتمرات المرئية والمسموعة وغيرها" في أقسام المكتبات والمعلومات الخرطوم بولاية الخرطوم، إضافة إلى معرفة تقنيات المعلومات الأكثر استخدامًا وتلك التي لا تستخدم من قبل أعضاء هيئة التدريس بتلك الأقسام، لمعرفة العقبات والعوائق التي تمنع من استخدامها ودراسة إمكانية تذليلها كما تحاول الورقة أيضًا تحديد المتطلبات الأساسية لاستخدام تقنيات المعلومات في التعليم بأقسام المكتبات والمعلومات. وبناء على طبيعة هذه الدراسة وللوصول إلى إجابات عن التساؤلات التي أثارها موضوع الدراسة، تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي والمعتمد على الاستبانة كأداة أساسية للدراسة لجمع البيانات الإحصائية وإجراء التحليلات والاستنتاجات واستخلاص المؤثرات والمقترحات للوقوف على الوضع الراهن لتقنيات المعلومات المستخدمة هي كليات الآداب بجامعات (النيلين، الخرطوم، الإسلامية، بحري، الأهلية) والخروج بنتائج وتوصيات تؤدى إلى تطوير التعليم بأقسام المكتبات والمعلومات بالجامعات السودانية.
This paper aims at examining the reality of the information technology used in education, such as (internet, e-mail services, e- learning systems, audio-visual conferences and other) in departments of libraries and information at universities in Khartoum State. Moreover, it tackles the most commonly used techniques and the ones that not used by the faculty staff of those sections, to see the obstacles and barriers that prevent the use of those techniques as well as the possibility of overcoming them. Furthermore, the paper attempts to identify the prerequisites for using information technologies in education at the departments of library and information. On the basis of the nature of this study, the paper uses the descriptive analytical approach to answer the raised questions and to see their influence on the subject of the study. It adopts Quantitative design as an essential tool for data collection, analysis, findings and suggestions to find out the current status of the information technologies used in the Faculties of Arts in Al- Neelain University, Khartoum University, Omdurman Islamic University, Bahari University and Al-Ahlia University). The paper comes up with results and recommendations that lead to the development of education in the departments of library and information Sudanese universities.
