The Technology concept and its applications are becoming increasingly important and pervasive in businesses due to its vital role in the success of the life cycle of organizations. Technology has become a key factor in accomplishing organizational goals and objectives such as competitive advantage, product quality, shortening production lifecycle, and possessing the capability of minimizing cost. There are many ways for adopting and implementing technology in organizations that lead to success, and achieve technological prominence through considering the research and development acceleration and upgrading technological capabilities. This situation would make organizations facing difficult decisions in terms of selecting, building, buying, or investing in technology. Therefore, it is very necessary that organizations adopt a clear strategy to confront the ultimate effects created by technological developments and Innovations in all elements and at all levels in the organization, especially information systems, human resource’s structures, and production process. The study aims to clarify the effect of strategic planning on the Factors of building technologically distinguished organizations in the Jordanian Pharmaceutical sector, through identifying the level of strategic planning implementation in the Pharmaceutical Organizations, and identifying the correlation between strategic planning and building factors of technologically distinguished organizations. The study Population consisted of (17) pharmaceutical organizations, and the study sample consisted of (10) randomly chosen organizations representing (59%) of the total population. A set of appropriate statistical methods were used to analyze the data which included: frequencies, percentages, standard deviations, spearman’s correlations, and stepwise regressions. The main conclusions of the study: 1. Jordanian Pharmaceutical Organizations adopt clear policies that contribute to strategy implementation, and encourage technological innovation. 2. Jordanian pharmaceutical organizations direct their activities toward organizational innovations. 3. Jordanian pharmaceutical organizations are suffering from weak organizational recourses to build technological strategic plans. 4. There was a significant positive correlation relationship between strategic planning and the building factors of technologically distinguished organizations. 5. Strategic planning had a significant positive impact on the Building Factors of technologically distinguished organizations. In the light of the findings, the researcher made the following recommendations: 1. Enhancing correlation between the organizational general strategy and technological strategy in light of the technological developments that occur in the business environment. 2. Setting technological strategy with clear aims taking in considerations other functional strategies.
