تسهم الكفاءة الاجتماعية الصحيحة لدى تلاميذ الصف الأول الابتدائي في رفع مستواهم العلمي والاجتماعي من خلال إقامة علاقات إنسانية مع الآخرين سواء أقرانهم من التلاميذ أو المعلمين، وتكشف لنا هذه الدراسة عن التلاميذ الذين لديهم قصور في مستوى الكفاءة الاجتماعية والذين يعانون من مشكلات في مجال العلاقات الاجتماعية، وقد أشارت العديد من الدراسات العلمية إلي تأثير الكفاءة الاجتماعية على شخصية وسلوك تلاميذ الصف الأول الابتدائي وتوافقهم النفسي والاجتماعي والدراسي، وقد هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلي بناء مقياس الكفاءة الاجتماعية لدى تلاميذ الصف الأول الابتدائي والتعرف على دلالة الفروق في مستوى الكفاءة الاجتماعية لدى التلاميذ تبعا لمتغير الجنس (ذكور وإناث) ومتغير الالتحاق (ملتحقين وغير ملتحقين) برياض الأطفال، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة قام الباحث ببناء أداة مقياس الكفاءة الاجتماعية لدى تلاميذ الصف الأول الابتدائي والذي تكون بصيغته النهائية من (52) فقرة بعد أن استخرج صدق وتمييز الفقرات، ومن ثم استرخ صدق وثبات مقياس الكفاءة الاجتماعية باستخدام الوسائل الإحصائية المختلفة بعد أن طبق المقياس على عينة التحليل الإحصائي والتي بلغت (150) تلميذا وتلميذة، اختيرت عشوائيا من تلاميذ الصف الأول الابتدائي الملتحقين وغير الملتحقين برياض الأطفال، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلي أن مقياس الكفاءة الاجتماعية لتلاميذ الصف الأول الابتدائي يتمتع بخصائص سيكومترية جيدة، وأن مستوى الكفاءة الاجتماعية لدى تلاميذ الصف الأول الابتدائي الملتحقين برياض الأطفال أعلى من غير الملتحقين بها، وتساوي الكفاءة الاجتماعية لدى عينة الذكور والإناث غير الملتحقين برياض الأطفال وقد أوصت الدراسة الحالية إلي استخدام مقياس الكفاءة الاجتماعية من قبل المرشدين والتربويين وإدارات المدارس وتشجيع جميع الأسر إلي إرسال أطفالهم إلي رياض الأطفال وقد اقترحت الدراسة الحالية إلي إجراء دراسة مماثلة لتلاميذ الصف الثالث الابتدائي وبناء برنامج دوري تربوي من قبل وزارة التربية لتنشيط مستوى الكفاءة الاجتماعية لدى تلاميذ الصف الأول الابتدائي.
