استهدف البحث الكشف عن طبيعة مشاركات الطلاب وتحليلها في منتديات المناقشة عبر الإنترنت والتعرف على تصوراتهم بشأن استخدامها في دعم دراسة مقرر تكنولوجيا التعليم والمعلومات، ولتحقيق ذلك تم إعداد وتصميم منتدى مناقشة بهدف دعم دراسة المقرر، وقد استخدم منهج تحليل محتوى المواقع، وهو منهج يهدف إلى الرصد الكمي والكيفي للمحتوى المنشور عبر الإنترنت حيث استخدم ما يسمى بتحليل الخطاب. وقد أعد استبيان للتعرف على تصورات الطلاب فيما يتعلق بأهمية استخدام منتديات المناقشة في دعم العملية التعليمية والصعوبات التي تحول دون ذلك وكيفية تطوير استخدامها. وأسفرت النتائج عن أن المنتدى العام حصل على أعلى تكرار للمشاركات، بنسبة 59.25%، وحصل منتدى الدعم الفني على أقل تكرار للمشاركات، بنسبة 1.975، وتدرجت تكرارات المشاركات في المنتديات الفرعية، بنسب (3.31%، 3.84%، 8.40%، 4.12%، 9.12%). كما أسفرت النتائج عن تنوع مشاركات الطلاب في المناقشات عبر الإنترنت حيث تضمنت نوعين من التفاعل، الأول يمثل (إضافة موضوعات جديدة) والثاني يمثل (الرد على الموضوعات). وقد تكون لدى تصورات إيجابية بشأن أهمية استخدام منتديات المناقشة في تطوير معارفهم ومهاراتهم واتجاهاتهم ودعم التواصل والتفاعل فيما بينهم، وتنمية روح التعاون. وتراوح متوسط درجة موافقة الطلاب على تصوراتهم بشأن الصعوبات التي تحول دون استخدام منتديات المناقشة في دعم دراسة المقرر بين (3.33)، (4)، ثم قدم الطلاب مجموعة من المقترحات لتطوير استخدام منتديات المناقشة، وأمكن من خلال مقترحات الطلاب التوصل لنظام المقترح للتفاعلات التعليمية غير التزامنية في بيئة التعليم الإلكتروني عبر الإنترنت من وجهة نظر الطلاب.
The present study aimed at examining the nature of the posts of the students in online discussion forums it also aimed at identifying their perceptions about using the forums in supporting their study of "Educational and Information Technology” course. To achicvc this, an online discussion forum was designed and prepared to help support the study of the course. Then, the approach of websites content analysis was used. This approach aims at the quantitative and qualitative monitoring for the content published over the Internet resulting in what is considered to be discourse analysis. Moreover, a questionnaire was prepared in order to identify the perceptions of the students regarding the importance of the use of discussion forums to support of the educational process, the difficulties that hinder its usage and how to develop its usage. The results revealed that the General Forum had the highest frequency of posts that reached 59.25% .In addition, the Technical Support Forum had a less frequency of posts by 1.97%. The frequency of posts in the other sub-forums was with the following rates (3.31%, 3.84%, 8.40%, 14.12%, and 9.12%). The results revealed the diversity of the students' posts in online discussions which included two types of interaction. The first of these is adding new topics and threads and the second was replying to topics and threads. To add more, the research helped the students to have positive perceptions about the importance of using discussion forums in the development of their knowledge, skills and attitudes and to support communication and interaction among themselves, and also to develop a spirit of cooperation. Finally, the average degree of the perceptions of students about the difficulties that prevent the use of discussion forums in support of their study was between (3.33), (4). The students then submitted a list of suggestions to develop the use of discussion forums.
