|a لقد كانت الثورة الجزائرية ،ومازالت ملهمة الشعراء العرب على اختلاف انتماءاتهم حيث سخروا أقلامهم ، وشعرهم في ذم مختلف أشكال قمع الاستعمار الفرنسي الغاشم مهما كان، وأينما وجد، فكان الشعراء العرب حينها يشاركون في صنع دوي الثورة الجزائرية المباركة بشعر زلزل صورة العدو الفرنسي في مختلف المحافل ،والمهرجانات المحلية والإقليمية ،كاشفا مدى زيف المستعمر الفرنسي بشأن مبادئ الثورة التي قامت عليها دولته من جهة، وحقيقة المجازر التي تقوم بها في أرض الجزائر من جهة ثانية أمام الرأي العام العالمي.
