|b Many water projects have been built along the Nile River. Also, the number of suggested hydraulic projects on the Nile River reached 27 projects. However, despite of the availability of renewable water resources on the river basin, still there is a lack of management and good manipulation. These developmental projects that are adopted by the countries of the Nile River basin were used as a political weapon – like what the colonization did before -; and so (Israel) succeeded, with the help of America, in the domination of some irrigation projects in a number of countries of the lakes region, and that is through the (Israeli’s) companies offering of technical and technological help and developing trade relationships with them. On top of these controversial projects (the Ethiopian Nahda dam project); there are alternatives that achieve its developmental aim with less harm and danger. Many experts see that the project should be smaller in order to achieve efficiency and lessening costs. In spite of all that, there are opportunities for cooperation and common work between the countries of the Nile basin, among them: managing the Nile waters effectively, seeking acceptable conciliation for present problems, finding common economic interests. Also, Egypt should improve its strategic relations with the countries of the Horn of Africa surrounding Ethiopia in order to make a kind of balance against the West and Israeli invasion in Ethiopia
