المستخلص: The goal of the current research is to identify the following: 1- The effectiveness of using Jigsaw strategy in teaching home economics and its impact on the development of practical skills among female students of the first grade at high school 2- Disclosure the relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of performance skills. In order to achieve these objectives, we have developed unit of home economics curriculum for the first grade at high school according to the strategy of Jigsaw. We also have prepared the research tools of achievement test, note card, and tests to assess the level of performance skills in the areas of (food and nutrition Clothing and Textiles). The application of these tools was on a sample of (42) female students from the first grade at high school, these students were distributed to two groups: experimental group consists of (24 students) and a control group consists of (18) students. The most important findings include, the following: 1- There are significant differences between the scores average of achievement test for the female students iii the experimental group in the pre / post application in favor of the post application. 2- There are significant differences between the scores average of achievement test for the female students in both the control group and the experimental group in the post application in favor of the experimental group. 3- There are significant differences between the scores average of the performance skills note card for the female students in experimental group in the pre / post application in favor of the post application. 4- There are significant differences between the scores average of the performance skills note card for the female students in both the control group and the experimental group in the post application in favor of the experimental group. 5- Using Jigsaw strategy works on developing (cognitive achievement - practical skills). 6- There is a positive significant functional correlation between the scores of the post application of achievement test and the performance skills note card among students in the experimental group.
