520		\|b We introduce a new renewal process with an underlying geometric distribution and study some of its statistical properties. A shock model with a renewal geometric distributions also discussed. We derive bivariatc geometric distributions using independent auxiliary random variables. Our bivariatc geometric model is useful in including dependence between the interarrivals and service times in a queuing model and in the failure process in multi-component systems.
