المستخلص: The current study examined the effects of empowering leadership on psychological empowerment and psychological ownership for the organization as well as the effects on the subordinates’ optimism about the future and their turnover intention. Data were collected from 356 teachers who work in governmental schools in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate. The results showed that empowering leadership affected psychological empowerment, psychological ownership, and subordinates’ optimism about the future positively. Differently, empowering leadership affected subordinates’ turnover intention negatively. Furthermore, the results showed that psychological ownership moderated the positive relationship between empowering leadership and optimism about the future, and it moderated the negative relationship between empowering leadership and turnover intention. The research included discussion, practical implications, and recommendations for future research.
