The availability of myriad forms of informal online social media and the endless amount of opinionated texts that internet users have at their finger tips have led to a great development in opinion-oriented information access services. Sentiment analysis (SA) or opinion miningare terms that have appeared at the turn of the third millennium to refer to the use of computers to extract opinions from unstructured human authored documents. Unfortunately, most research in SA has focused on English due to the scarcity of resources for other languages. This paper investigates the possibility of deriving a subjectivity lexicon for Arabic from already existing subjectivity resources for English. |
