المستخلص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على أهم محددات الحرية الأكاديمية في الجامعات السعودية في ضوء لوائح التعليم العالي، ومعرفة مستوى المعرفة بمحددات الحرية الأكاديمية لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعات السعودية. وقد استخدم المنهج التحليلي في تحليل مواد لوائح التعليم العالي ومعرفة أهم محددات الحرية الأكاديمية التي تتيحها هذه اللوائح، كما استخدم المنهج الوصفي المسحي في تحديد مستوى معرفة أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية في الجامعات السعودية بمحددات الحرية الأكاديمية. ولتحقيق ذلك أجري مسح لعينة بلغ عددها (985) من أعضاء هيئه التدريس. وقد توصلت الدراسة الي النتائج حول اهم محددات الحرية الأكاديمية المعرفية لدي أعضاء هيئة التدريس في الجامعات السعودية.

he study aimed to highlight the most important determinants of academic freedom in Saudi universities in light of the regulations of higher education , and to know the level of knowledge of the determinants of academic freedom, faculty members in Saudi universities have been using the analytical method analysis of the materials regulations of higher education and knowledge of the most important determinants of academic freedom offered by these regulations have also been used descriptive approach survey in order to determine the level of knowledge of faculty members in Saudi universities determinants of academic freedom and to achieve this has been cleared a total sample of ( 589 ) of the faculty and was the most prominent of the findings of a study to increase the level of knowledge of the determinants of academic freedom with the link to work quarterly faculty member, such as: ( put questions courses study , allowing the student to complete the requirements for the course in the next chapter , determine the degree of Business quarterly , and to identify the scientific literature of the curriculum , the passage of the messages graduate students and identify their supervisors and select committees of the debate ) the low level of knowledge of the determinants of academic freedom related to the right of faculty members to participate in the distribution of lectures on the faculty through the department . Associated with the high level of knowledge spaces academic freedom in teaching and curriculum selection of components to exercise the faculty member to those areas through scientific section . Level of knowledge of the determinants of academic freedom related upgrades faculty member was strong and that they relate to a member of the faculty in terms of scientific promoted . Not many are aware of the faculty members that they have the freedom to get through the promotion of scientific ( do inventions and innovations. Doing creative activities ) . Twice the level of knowledge of the determinants of academic freedom related to ( freedom of a faculty member to go on a scientific mission (Scientific Communication ) outside the university . Freedom of a faculty member to travel during the summer vacation to conduct research at the University of Foreign Affairs ) . High level of knowledge of the determinants of academic freedom of association financial aspects of a faculty member . Existence of an agreement between the faculty members of different universities and expertise with respect to their views on the determinants of academic freedom -related aspects of teaching , research , administrative and financial . The existence of an agreement between the faculty members ( male and female) with respect to their views on the determinants of academic freedom related aspects of teaching , research , administrative and financial . The presence of statistically significant differences between faculty members in terms of the variable Grade axis ( the determinants of academic freedom associated with teaching and choose the elements of the curriculum ) and the axis ( the axis of the determinants of academic freedom associated with scientific research ) tend mostly for the benefit of faculty members who are on the Order scientific higher.
