المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستوى المسؤولية الاجتماعية لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية في منطقة حائل والتحقق من درجة اختلافها تبعا لاختلاف (الحالة الاجتماعية للأسرة ومعدل دخل الأسرة الشهري والمستوى التعليمي لكل من الأب والأم ومنطقة السكن). شارك في الدراسة 1026 طالبا من طلاب المرحلة الثانوية (الشرعي والطبيعي) بمدراس التعليم العام الحكومي للبنين بمنطقة حائل. أجاب أفراد العينة عن النسخة المختصرة من مقياس المسؤولية الاجتماعية بعد التأكد صدقه وثباته. كشفت التحليلات الإحصائية أن مستوى المسؤولية الاجتماعية للمشاركين في عينة الدراسة من طلبة المرحلة الثانوية بمنطقة حائل كان ضمن المستوى المتوسط. كما كشف التحليل عن وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات كل من الطلاب لصالح الذين دخل أسرهم الشهري (أكثر من 1001 ريال) مقارنة مع الطلبة الذين دخل أسرهم اقل من ذلك، ولصالح من تراوح دخل أسرهم (5001 - 10000 ريالا) مقارنة مع من كان دخل أسرهم أقل من ذلك. ووجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات الطلاب على مقياس المسؤولية الاجتماعية بين مجموعة الطلاب لصالح الذين كان مستويات تعليم أباءهم وأمهاتهم متوسطا وجامعيا مقارنة مع الذين كان مستوى تعليم أمهاتهم ابتدائيا فما دون، ولصالح الذين كان مستويات تعليم أبائهم وأمهاتهم جامعيا مقارنة مع الذين كان مستوى تعليم أبائهم وأمهاتهم متوسطا وثانويا. ووجود فرق دال إحصائيا لصالح الطلاب الذين ينتمون لأسرة ذات أبوين يعيشان معا مقارنة مع الذين ينتمون لأسرة ذات أبوين منفصلين. وخلصت الدراسة إلى العديد من التوصيات.

The study aimed to determine the level of social responsibility and its differences among secondary school students in Hail region of Saudi Arabia based on the variables (social status of the family – family monthly income - educational level of father and mother - residential area of the student). The study sample consisted of (1026) students from two sections (the literary and natural sciences branches) of governmental public secondary school males students in Hail region. The researchers used a short version of social responsibility scale after validity and reliability were ensured. Results of the study showed a moderate level of social responsibility for students participating in the study. There is a statistically significant difference between mean scores of all students whose family’s monthly income is (more than 5,000 riyals) when compared to (5001 riyals or less) in favor of families with higher income, there is a statistically significant difference between mean scores of all students whose family’s monthly income is (more than 10,001 riyals) when compared to (5001-10000 riyals) in favor of families with higher income. There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of students in the measure of social responsibility among students of parents with an elementary education or below when compared to those of parents with a level of education that is more than secondary school or higher in favor of students of parents with secondary education and above. There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of students in the measure of social responsibility in favor of students of parents with university education when compared to those of parents with a level of high school or community college education, and there is a significant difference between the mean scores of students who belong to the family with parents living together when compared to those who belong to a family of separated parents in favor of those who live with parents living together. Several recommendations were suggested.
